MTBShreD - The Mountain Bike TrailHead

Had a great time in Telluride...A snowboard trip out west is a must at least once a year.

So starts my sixth season riding a mountain bike. I still remember the first ride I took back in Oct 2004. It was at Waverly park. I remember riding for a couple of hours that day. At times when going down hill I felt like I was almost flying. When going uphill I felt like I was dying....It was great...I realized that this sport offered me something that no other activity I had tried did...thrill, exertion, and the feeling of utter defeat. The latter came a day after my first ride when the doctor revealed that my first mountain bike crash resulted in a broken foot and ankle...I was soundly defeated, but that was not enough stir me away from the sport....it only took a couple hours for me to be hooked. Six years later I still ride...or as we like to call it SHRED!

Good Friday meant a day off of work for me. There was no better way to spend the day than going up to ride Brown County with the MTB shred crew. First off was being introduced to the MTB Shred post ride crash site...ie the place to recover with the help of some fine beverages Los, Joe and I arrived early afternoon to start the shred.

Tennessee is a great destination for Mountain biking and wide range of other out door activities. From Back Packing to white water rafting and even rock climbing, Tennessee is a destination for all of these activities, including mountain biking.

Well it has been a long time since I posted on this blog. I originally started it as away to talk about my hobbies that I pursue, well not so much hobbies but I have come to realize they are more than just hobbies, they are away of life for me. Everyone that knows me knows what I mean and they know, I like to talk about it a lot. If you didn't you have been warned! You will learn what I am about from reading this blog. Oh one more thing, don’t just look at the pictures, read please, the pictures show the story the words tell it!
